Is your child struggling with maths? I can help.

Strong maths skills are fundamental to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, leading to exciting and well-paid careers. However, without the right qualifications, young people can fail to achieve their ambitions. This places immense pressure on them to succeed in maths.

Maths can be difficult, with complex concepts and a curriculum where everything is interconnected. Falling behind on one topic often makes it harder to grasp the next, creating a snowball effect. This can lead to frustration, stress, anxiety, and even feeling overwhelmed.

But everyone deserves the chance to shine in their studies, reach their full potential, and pursue their dreams.

With two degrees and over 12 years of experience teaching, tutoring, and marking exams, I distill all that knowledge to help my students succeed in a fraction of the time.

Hi, I’m Mrs J (Haseeba)

Experienced Maths Teacher, Tutor, and Exam Marker

With a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Statistics and a Master of Education focusing on contemporary issues, I offer a deep understanding of maths and the learning process. Over 12 years, I’ve taught thousands of students in classrooms and one-on-one privately, consistently achieving outstanding results.

My Students’ Success is My Priority

My expertise in the Scottish curriculum is extensive. In addition to my years of teaching and tutoring, I’ve marked thousands of exam papers and identified the common pitfalls that cause students to fail; I make sure that my students avoid them.

More Than Just Maths

As a volunteer mental health counsellor, I understand the challenges that anxiety and stress can create. I provide empathetic support, especially during the pressures of exam time, and I equip my students with the tools to manage stress and build confidence.

Let’s Achieve Your Maths Goals Together

Whilst I can’t sit the exam for your child, I can give them the knowledge, skills, and unwavering support they need to succeed in maths.

You want the best for your child – let’s make it happen

I offer both in-person and online tutoring sessions, with most students opting for the convenience of online sessions. These online sessions also provide the added benefit of downloadable recordings for future review.

With many years of teaching and tutoring experience, I quickly assess each student’s level and identify areas for improvement. During a free initial phone call, I gather background information to ensure we can start effectively. From there, we follow a customised learning plan tailored specifically to you. I adapt the pace to suit each individual while encouraging you to work hard and achieve your best.

Whichever method you choose, I will create a learning plan based on my expert knowledge of the Scottish curriculum. Each student receives personalised attention, and I offer flexible scheduling within a safe and supportive environment.

Places Are Limited

Balancing my work as a teacher with tutoring, I have limited availability for new students. My priority is to give each student my full attention, and that means keeping my schedule manageable. Spaces fill up quickly, so don’t miss out!

Once I reach capacity, I operate a waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.

Demand tends to peak after the prelims, particularly if students haven’t achieved the results they hoped for. To avoid disappointment and ensure you have a space, I strongly encourage you to begin tutoring as early as possible. This allows us to focus on consistent progress and success throughout the year, rather than playing catch-up.
